We’ve been accredited as a Living Wage Foundation Employer. Our living wage commitment will see everyone working with us receive, at least, a minimum hourly wage of £11.95 in London or £10.90 outside London.
The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the cost of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure that their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum. Since 2011 the Living Wage Foundation movement has delivered a pay rise to nearly 400,000 people.
London Law Collective CEO Jo Farquharson said, “This is important to us. The more businesses that commit to paying a proper living wage, the better business will be for everyone. The movement as a whole has added over £2bn into workers’ pockets and that can only be a good thing for our economy and for society in general. We are pleased that we can play a role and urge as many firms as possible in the law community to follow suit.”
Katherine Chapman, Director, Living Wage Foundation said: “We’re delighted that London Law Collective has joined the movement of almost 11,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on.
“They join thousands of small businesses, as well as household names such as Burberry, Barclays, Everton Football Club and many more. These businesses recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.”
