What a privilege for our CEO Jo Farquharson to attend the inaugural Commonwealth Startup Fellowship: Capstone Showcase 2025, having already helped assess some of the applications for the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship 2025/26, a pioneering programme empowering entrepreneurs from Commonwealth countries to scale local solutions to the world’s biggest challenges.
There is so much talent out there, bold ventures tackling challenges in health, agriculture, education, energy and more, and having a front-row seat to the innovation of these inspiring startups shows just some of the entrepreneurial ambition out there.
It was also great to hear from startup entrepreneurs such as Maryanne Gichanga of Agritech Analytics, Nishant Agarwal of lifeandlimb.ai, Dr Taiwo Oyewole of Radease, Nyifamu Ogechi Manzo of Farmatrix and a keynote from Babatunde Soyoye, of Helios Investment Partners on how these businesses have sustained their impact.
Thanks to Imperial Enterprise Lab, who we have supported for a number of years, as well as the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office for leading this initiative.
We look forward to the results of the application process and best of luck all those involved in the Fellowship!
