When we started London Law Collective in August 2020 our ambition was always to create a high quality law firm that worked as a trusted partner with innovative growth companies, while also respecting our social purpose and our world around us. To us it’s never been enough to just do the law. We care deeply about the climate crisis, social issues that affect many people and the impact that modern society has on our mental and physical health and wellbeing.
That is why we are delighted to publish our first Impact Report that shows the steps we have taken as a firm across three of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals: promoting inclusive and decent work practices, tackling the climate crisis, and building better institutions at all levels.
It outlines our aims to constantly challenge ourselves to do more, our commitment to create a culture that is values-led, and a future focus that fully embeds social impact within our practice and helps us achieve full B Corp status.
We know that publishing a report is only half the story. That is why we have also become partners of 1% for the Planet, the Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers (GAIL), The Chancery Lane Project and Positive Luxury. We are also accredited with the Living Wage Foundation and are a certified Green Small Business.
None of this would be possible without the commitment of our dedicated team and our many valued clients, partners, suppliers and friends to a shared sense of values and ambition, and our thanks go to them all.
Together we believe that business can be a force for good and if done properly within the right constraints can help those who need it most. We look forward to continuing to work with our partners on this journey and to your thoughts and feedback.
