Swimming to raise money for charity

It’s not every day that you jump into the Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park in London for a swim.

Well, that’s just what our co-founders Jo Farquharson and David Farquharson did in the beautiful sunshine on Saturday 14 September as part of Swim Serpentine, in aid of West London Welcome, a charity and community centre that supports refugees, asylum seekers and members of the local community.

While both completed their sponsored swims in admirable times, what’s more important was the £££s that they raised for West London Welcome, which will all go towards giving refugees and asylum seekers legal advice, educational resources and classes so that people who use the centre can feel part of a vibrant, supportive and inclusive community.

So, many thanks to all those who swam and made donations, the organisers and of course West London Welcome whose work means so much to so many people.
